1. Bien vs. Bon

Learners often mix up bon (adjective) and bien (adverb).

• C’est bien (it’s good/well done)
• C’est bon (it tastes good / it’s correct / it’s settled)

2. Overusing « très »

“Très” is fine… but French relies much more on richer, more expressive intensifiers:

• vraiment, tellement, super, trop, hyper

  Swap these in to sound instantly more natural.

3. Depuis, pendant et il y a

English “for” creates chaos here:

• depuis = since / for (still true now)
• pendant = for (completed time)
• il y a… que = alternative to depuis
• pour = future intended duration only (rare)
• (et surtout pas pour)
